Its a long one but make your own conclusions as to how big the tea cup really needed to be!
An interesting interview with Mr Weir sadly he seemed less concerned about his own safety as he died in 2011 whilst flying his helicopter at night and in poor weather – for which conditions he was not qualified!

‘A Cumbrian businessman who was killed when his helicopter crashed in the Lake District was not qualified to fly at night, an accident report found.
Father-of-three Mark Weir, 45, who ran Honister Slate Mine in Borrowdale, near Keswick, died when his Gazelle aircraft crashed near the mine on 8 March 2011.
Mr Weir did not hold a night-flying qualification, according to the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
It said the aircraft took off at 19:00 GMT in poor visibility and low cloud.’
Yes Alan he was an interesting character and very well known in the area, for many reasons. This news didn’t go unnoticed in the OMM circles when it happened.
