The 2012 Sil Rocket from Luxe Outdoor is set to be very popular with any backpacker, hiker or cyclist wanting something, light, affordable and practical.
It offers 5 different pitching options;
a) Purely as a solo bug nest for hot warm nights
b) Purely as a enclosed Tarp Tent with no inner nest
c) Purely as a Gull Wing Tarp offering decent converge for the solo user
d) As a complete solo tent with enclosed nest pegged down, or
e) As a complete solo tent with the nest supported under an open Gull Wing Tarp
The weights certainly fall into the lighter end of the scale, however it is the tarp based pitching option which I think will make it popular with those heading out for warmer climes.

I have just received a Sil Rocket tent and I must say im very impressed with its design and construction quality . I look forward to testing it over the summer. Its good to see a fully versatile tarp tent that comes with a fine mesh inner and ground sheet to keep out small bugs.
